The main purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the understanding of how business models can be defined, redefined, and applied in the agricultural sector as a strategic public management tool. Consequently, the strong agreement as to the relevance of value creation within organizations, institutions, firms and sectors underlies existing business model literature is undisputable. In considering this context, agriculture is the primary economic growth engine for Ghana and strives to create and deliver value to citizens, businesses and other stakeholders in agriculture ecosystem. The design, methodology and approach stemming from the multi-faceted applications of the business model concept, the researcher has conducted exploratory research targeting the application of current business model concepts and frameworks regarding agricultural sector in Ghana. The approach involves review of inter-disciplinary literature coupled with conducting empirical studies on ICT issues in Agriculture due to its influence on GDP growth of Ghana. Findings for the study suggest that both Management and Farmers (crops, fisheries, animal husbandry, forestry and logging) appreciated the need for e-Agriculture (ICT in Agriculture) programme to be pursued and saw it very important to address bottle-necks in the agricultural sector as it brings among others effectiveness and efficiency. The practical implications among others are that the World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) recommends implementation of e-Agriculture in all countries and this makes it unequivocally a useful BM model for agricultural sector worldwide. The proposed model contributes significantly to agricultural practitioners, academics, researchers among others. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the internal threats within an organisation’s information security; the case of Xpress Gas Ltd. The researcher uses purposive sampling technique because only staff members who directly connect to the logistics side of the information system. The researcher adopts this technique in order to acquire the relevant information. The study population are those employees who are directly dealing with the logistics aspects of the Company constituting the sample size of 200. Data collated from respondents is analyse using a Statistical Package for Social Science version 20 and Microsoft Excel is employ in analysing the data and present the data in table form using Microsoft Word. The findings showed that there are internal threats within Xpress Gas Ltd as majority of the respondents 84.5% threats found within Xpress Gas Ltd are more of internal threats related such as human error or failure, deliberate acts of information extortion, deliberate acts of espionage or trespass, deliberate acts of sabotage or vandalism, deliberate acts of theft, and deliberate software attacks. The findings showed that project cost increased by an average of 13.5%, while project duration increased by 33.6%. 98% of respondents believe project financing and inspection/ supervision, influence completion of construction projects. 73% and 71%, respectively gave the information that construction contract duration and project delivery type chosen respectively influence the completion of construction projects..The recommendations include project managers need to engage project stakeholders all through project lifetime. Competent project managers should be involved in projects while clients should provide adequate project financing. Contractors should not have cash flow problems and project teams should be trained on project success factors. A quality culture in construction, industry should be encouraged. Every stakeholder in construction projectimplementation should be sensitized to the reality that projects will most likely suffer delay in contract duration and definitely increase in project costs.
