                <text>In construction industry DeSimone Ghana limited mostly undertake some motivational action toward its workers with the objective to complete projects within time, scope and budget. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of workers motivation on job performance in the construction industry. The specific research objectives were to identify the worker job performance indicators in the construction industry, to identify the critical factors of motivation in construction industry and to ascertain if the factors of motivation can influence job performance in construction industry. The population size was 1136 workers and sample size 168. Quantitative method has been used for this research and 168 questionnaire were administered and only 118 were collected back. The research has revealed that the workers job performance indicators were effectively used in the industry and they include innovation, safety, quality, cost and time. The study has also revealed that factors of motivation were influencing job performance at DeSimone and that the industry must take note of the factors that motivate workers in their company such as: job condition, cars for movement/transportation for workers, advancement in the company, opportunity for promotion, fringe benefits responsibility, recognizes job accomplished, worker housing loan scheme, increase salaries. Further the study has revealed that motivational packages were influencing job performance in the industry and DeSimone motivational packages order of importance include job condition, responsibility, worker housing loan scheme, advancement in the company, cars for movement, opportunity for promotion, fringe benefits, and increase of salary and recognition for job accomplished. Finally, the findings provides evidence that both worker motivation and worker job performance move in the same direction, and both are positive. The higher the motivation, the higher the performance.&#13;

                <text>Social media has gained grounds in recent times becoming an integral part of human lives enabling communication, friendships, and opinions. The paradigm shift has brought about risk and threats especially to those cyber criminals who want to capitalize on the unwariness or ignorance of the users and to exploit the vulnerabilities identified. This study sought to assess the vulnerabilities in social media with regards to the possible strategies to mitigate the threats. The perception is that users of these social media believe that they have internet security suite install to safeguard their devices against threats including social engineering threats. The study employed the qualitative research design i.e. gleaning through reports and literature and the questionnaires approach through interview to evaluate the vulnerabilities that come with the use of social media. The study area consisted of users of the social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter etc. in the central business district of Accra. A study size of 120 social media users was drawn. The research used both the random sampling and purposive sampling techniques to select the study subjects. The results show that 64% of the users surveyed are between 20 to 40 years. From the results, majority of the respondents representing 46.7% use Facebook. Majority of the respondents representing 76% said they are secured and protected using social media little do they know they are not protected in anyway. It is also recommended that advances technologies be used in the blockage of social media at work places. Monitoring is also keen and is recommended in order to curb the rate of usage of social media. The recommendation is that awareness creation and training of staff members on the vulnerabilities or threats on social media. The theories employed in this study, is the Personal Behavior Theory that explains users’ Personal traits and their attitudes on social media.&#13;

                <text>The study investigated the organizational culture and its effect on project success using a sample from construction industries in Ghana. Using a correlational research design, data were collected from 250 participants of five construction companies in Ghana using reliable research questionnaires. Standard multiple regression and hierarchical regression analyses were conducted on the data. The results showed that, organisational culture was significantly and positively related to project success. Consistent with the dimensions of organizational culture, the study found culture producing a strong effect on project success. It has also been manifested in the study that when employees feel like a family (i.e. community culture), then, they feel that the organisation is part of them and thus, work hard to ensure that the goals of the organisation are accomplished.(Burton 2012)&#13;
Similarly, when the culture of innovation is encouraged, then, people tend to be creative, take proactive measures and reasonable risks in order to accomplish organisational goals.                 <text>The focus of this research is to do a comparative study of corporate governance systems and&#13;
its effect on the financial performance of listed and non -listed banks in Ghana. The study sampled 6 banks (3 listed and 3 non -listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange) out of the 35 universal banks in Ghana. Secondary data from the annual reports of the banks were used for the analysis. The data used comprises of return on assent which is a proxy for financial performance for banks, and corporate governance variable which included Board composition, Board Size and CEO Term of office. The data for establishing the relationship between governance and financial performance of Banks in Ghana were analysed using panel data analysis.&#13;
Finding from the study led to the conclusion that there is no significant difference between corporate governance system of listed and non-listed banks on the Ghana Stock Exchange. The study further concluded that there is no significant difference between the financial performance of listed and non-listed companies on the Ghana Stock Exchange. Lastly, finding of the research conclude that corporate governance has a significant effect on financial performance of banks in Ghana. The study established a negative but significant influence of board size on banks in Ghana. It also established a positive and significant influence of board composition and bank’s financial performance in Ghana. The study also found that the CEO term in office has a positive but insignificant influence on the financial performance of banks.&#13;
The study recommends that the number of members on the board should not be too large as it negatively affects the firm’s financial performance. This study recommends that measures should be put in place to ensure a higher number of non-executive board members to enhance board independence as this will improve financial performance. Finally the recommended that CEOs should be allowed a fairy longer term in office to enhance their productive.</text>

                <text>The study used the Ordinary Least Square Method (OLS) and Pearson Correlation to determine the relationship between the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) and banks financial performance in Ghana. The study also used same method to establish the effect of the MPR on financial risk and some key macroeconomic indicators. The samples banks constituted banks listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) with data extracted from the Bank of Ghana’s website, Ghana Statistical Services (GSS) and annual reports of the banks from the period 2005 – 2016.&#13;
The findings revealed that MPR has a significant negative influence on ROE, ROA, BATO, DY and NPM which signifies that high policy rate distorts the performance of banks in Ghana hence the need to keep the rate down. MPR was also found to have a strong correlation and significant relationship with credit risk, liquidity risk and interest rate risk. MPR was found to have a negative relationship with GDP Growth. Though this relationship was not significant, the correlation results revealed a moderately strong relation of -0.5.&#13;
In conclusion, the negative influence of MPR on banks performance and its high effect on financial risk is can be considered as one of the major components affecting the overall performance of the economy. As banks play an important role in economic growth, it is recommended that the BoG must be more strategic and circumspective in taking their numerous monetary decisions.</text>
