                <text>Following a realization that a Web-based Learning Management System (LMS) deployed by a University in Ghana remained largely unused by instructors, the university’s management intervened. The university wishes to expand access to its educational resources through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Since instructors play a pivotal role in this direction, all instructors were trained, motivated, and appropriately resourced to enable them to use the LMS effectively to deliver courses. Five years down the line, however, most instructors are still ambivalent towards using the LMS software. This chapter discusses the case extensively and concludes by suggesting that one approach that might help solve the problem will be to engage all instructors in participatory activities aimed at collectively identifying and addressing the issues and challenges.</text>

                <text>This study proposes and tests a model of how and when previous failure experience can impact on subsequent business model innovation of business-to-business (B2B) SMEs. Analysis of survey data from a sample of 182 B2B SMEs in Ghana indicates that failure experience is positively related to business model innovation – and that coopetition capability mediates this failure experience. Further analysis of boundary condition effects reveals that high levels of financial resource slack strengthen the positive relationship between coopetition and business model innovation, while the level of managerial persistence has no effect on failure experience and coopetition relationship. We discuss the theoretical and managerial implications of these findings.</text>

Surface colour was evaluated in terms of CIELAB parameters L*, C* and h° using a HunterLab Miniscan Colorimeter.                 <text>It is axiomatic that state-sponsored peace operations are conducted in Ghana aimed at&#13;
combating conflicts. In the Dagbon intra-ethnic conflict and theNawuri-Gonja and KonkombaNanumbainter-ethnic conflicts in present-day Northern Region of Ghana, state-sponsored peace&#13;
operations were marshalled to either prevent the outbreak of conflicts, de-escalate tensions or&#13;
combat the conflicts to ensure law and order. Some of the security measures rolled out as part of&#13;
the peace operations in these conflicts included strategies such as a combined military-police&#13;
patrols, mounting checkpoints to prevent the inflow of arms, the imposition of state of&#13;
emergency, increasing security presence in the volatile areas, among others. This paper explores&#13;
the security arrangements in the peace operations in theDagbon, Konkomba-Nanumba and&#13;
Nawuri-Gonja conflicts in the Northern Region of Ghana. Blending written and unwritten data&#13;
together in an orthodox historical tradition, this study argues that the measures were not entirely&#13;
successful. </text>

                <text>An effective marketing program collects all of elemen of the marketing mix into one cohesive program designed o obtain a company’s terget in order to determine the company’s position towards competition, in order to win consumers as a target market facing such reality, compnies are required to be able to devlop an active marketing policy and always follow technological and economical developments. The aim of this study is to (1) analyze the affect of marketing mix on the purchasing decision of consumers in the jamu industry in Banda Aceh (2) Knowing what type of the marketing mix element most effect consumers buying the decisions in the jamu industry in Banda Aceh. The object of the study on independent variable: product, price, promotion and place. There are 2 methods pf study used, namely th descriptive and verivication methods. The sample in this study consist of 225 jamu industry consumers scattrd through 3 (three) distric in Banda Aceh. The methods of data collection is documentation, interview and quistionnaries while the data analysis methods is the descriptive and paet analysis. The results of this study indicate that the elements of the marketing mix simultaneously affect the consumers buying decision positively and partyaly indicate that the product, price, price and promotion element have a positive affect, while the place (location) element has a negative effect. At the same time th marketing mix involving product, price and promotion significantly affect th buyin decision of jamu industry products in Banda Aceh. The most dominant variable the decision of consumers is th promotion variable, which an be as high as 28, 60%.</text>
