                <text>This study presents an omnidirectional dipole antenna with wideband and low gain variation in the horizontal plane. The antenna is made up of two driven dipoles and two parasitic dipoles placed symmetrically on both sides of a central ground plane. The driven dipole is made up of two planar arms printed on both sides of the substrate. Two small slits on both sides of the driven dipole, a large centrally placed slit in the driven dipole, extensions on both sides of the driven dipole with different dimensions, and parasitic dipoles are introduced to greatly enhance the bandwidth and also attain a low gain variation. The fabricated antenna achieves a wide impedance bandwidth of 105.5% (1.36–4.4 GHz) for S11 ≤ −10 dB, and an average gain of 4.14 dBi with a low gain variation of 2 dB. The antenna may find applications in 2G/3G/LTE frequency bands.</text>

                <text>The application of natural language processing (NLP) methods to designing conversational frameworks for health diagnosis improves patients’ access to medical information. An Android application based on fuzzy logic rules and fuzzy inference was created in this research. In Ghana, the service assesses the symptoms of diseases. The android application is built with the Support Vector Machine learning technique, with the aim of improving the model’s accuracy and performance. Natural Language Processing is often used by the machine to achieve the conversational style of asking the users for their symptoms. People can spend less time in hospitals and get low-cost or free care by using this technique, which is mainly used in Ghana’s rural areas.</text>

                <text>Miniaturized monopole planar antennas operating in the VHF/UHF band applied for Digital Video Broadcasting and mobile communication have gained research interest due to their low-profile, compact, and wideband nature. This antenna is capable of penetrating surfaces more easily, faster and can broadcast larger data because it operates in the wideband. The challenge of designing an antenna small enough to be adopted for Digital Video Broadcasting in handheld devices with capabilities of covering the DVB wideband and at the same time omnidirectional, with enough gain, good impedance coefficient which translates into efficiency is the drive of this paper. The proposed antenna in this paper is a rectangular patch with two large slots created in its radiating surface and extension on its edges for wider bandwidth and better matching. It employs a modified ground plane that uses coupling to achieve low return loss. CST microwave studio software was used for the simulation and optimization. The characteristics and simulated results are analyzed before the prototype structure is fabricated on an FR-4 substrate. A monopole planar antenna with total dimensions of 185× 45× 1.6 mm3 with an omnidirectional radiation pattern in the H-plane is fabricated and the results are presented. The antenna has high impedance bandwidth characteristics with operating frequency at-10 dB return loss from 470 MHz to 900 MHz and about 63% bandwidth efficiency. It has a VSWR ratio of less than 2.                 <text>Wireless power transfer technology via magnetic resonance coupling now has significant interest in industry and research with many applications. This paper proposes a linear multiple transmitter coil array (5 coils) for wireless power transfer for added gain and hence higher transfer efficiency in comparison to a single transmitter coil. The frequency splitting effect as a result of the coupling between the resonant transmitter coils due to their close proximity is shown to reduce the transfer efficiency to a receiver. The effect of the array spacing on splitting effect suppression is verified. It is shown that the splitting effect is sup-pressed as the distance between the coils is increased leading to a higher received signal and hence higher efficiency. Proposed horizontal displacement of the middle transmitter coils (2nd and 4th coils) in the coil array is shown to suppress frequency splitting. To further suppress the splitting effect due to the magnetic coupling between the transmitter coils, a multiple transmitter array is proposed with different coil turns. Thus it is shown that designing the multiple coil array with mixed number of coil turns (the 2nd and 4th coils are designed to have different number of turns as compared to the other three coils) causes uniform coupling among the coils reducing and eventually eliminating the splitting effect. Also to increase the efficiency at the receiver coil, displaced stacked coils are introduced on top of the coil array.
