                <text>With collaborative web technologies such as wikis becoming increasingly popular in the workplace, this case study examined how workers at an education research unit within a graduate school of education perceive the wiki as a platform for communication and collaboration, and the extent to which they actually use a workplace wiki for that purpose. Twenty staff members, for whom a wiki was built, were surveyed, while records of their activities on the wiki over a 6-month period were retrieved and analyzed. Findings reveal that though most of these staff members have positive views towards the wiki as a space that can effectively promote information sharing and collaboration, they are not quite as enthusiastic about engaging the wiki as a medium for their daily collaborative work activities. The possible reasons for this discrepancy are discussed together with recommendations on the strategies similar organizations can adopt to help encourage and maximize wiki usage in the workplace.</text>

                <text>As many important issues pertaining to blended learning within the Sub-Saharan African context remain unexplored, this study implemented a blended learning approach in a graduate level course at a private university in Ghana, with the objective of exploring adult learners' attitudes, experiences and behaviors towards this learning approach, as well as their perceptions towards blended learning in general. Forty-eight graduate students participated in the study as they engaged in a six-week long blended learning course. Qualitative research methods were used to gather data which were analysed using grounded theory coding techniques, descriptive statistics and content analysis.                 <text>This study develops a framework for an activity-based computer programming instructional approach in a blended learning environment of higher education institutions. The driving force for this study is the poor performance of most undergraduate students in the domain of computing science programs to comprehend and write computer programs to solve real-world problems. In addition, a fundamental problem with most HEIs in undergraduate computer science educational programmes is how to teach programming and how students can comprehend and write computer programs. Hence, the study developed a framework and a curriculum mediation for computer programming instruction in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Ghana.&#13;
The action research approach was used to conduct the research which spanned through three different semesters from September 2019 to October 2020. The mixed method approach was used to capture data from 300 students and nine lecturers in three different HEIs in Ghana and different computer programming classes within a blended learning environment.</text>

                <text>This paper discusses the development of a software simulator to predict the optimum drying conditions of a bed of cocoa beans in a convective dryer. To achieve this, a suitable mathematical drying model based on the Luikov’s model of heat and mass transfer in a capillary porous medium, were derived, to define the drying behavior of the bed. A heat source term was introduce in the energy equation due to the enzymatic browning reaction in cocoa beans during drying. The result-ing coupled heat and mass transfer equations were discretized using the finite difference method based on the notation of control volume. An algorithm was created to implement this solution into a computer program using a complex of Rapid a p-plication development tools which include Visual Studio, CodeFluent Entities and MATLAB. The algorithm was implemen t-ed in MATLAB 7.12 and was later exported through COM into Visual Basic.NET code for further development of the simu-lator in Visual Studio 2010. A logical model of the database was developed using the Graphical Modeler in CodeFluent Entities and later exported into a physical MS SQL Server database. The simulator will serve as a powerful decision making tool, that will be useful for engineers or operators to develop optimum drying conditions to improve the quality of cocoa beans and the final cocoa products.</text>
