                <text>The petroleum industries benefit immensely from developing scientific processes and procedures that determine characteristics of crude oils and distinct them. This is because crude oils are acquired from various geological sources and each sedimentary rock has its own distinct chemical properties that affect extraction, refinery and environmental safety. Extraction of crude oils may result in exposure of some radionuclide elements from sedimentary rocks into the environments. This nuclear exposure may affect lives and can cause ecological imbalance. Applications of gamma emission spectroscopy has grown rapidly around the world because of its accurate measurement and precision. Such technique has not been applied for the study of naturally occurring radionuclide materials (NORMs) in crude oils from the active oil fields in Ghana. The study employed the use of gamma spectroscopic technique for characterization of crude oil samples from Jubilee Oil Field, Tweneboa Enyenra Ntomme (TEN) Oil Field and Saltpond Oil Field. The technique was applied on four crude oil samples. The results of this paper actually report on radionuclide concentrations of naturally occurring radioactive materials in four crude samples using a Gamma-Ray spectrometer.                 <text>The conventional treatment for carcinoma of the cervix is a combination of both the external Teletherapy and Low Dose Rate (LDR) intracavitary brachytherapy. However, there has been an increasing trend toward the use of High Dose-Rate (HDR) brachytherapy, in combination with external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) in the treatment of cervix carcinoma.The Manchester system has been used for the treatment modality at the facility. The various cancer stages were diagnosed and found to be from stage I to stage IIIB according to FIGO staging guidlines. There were no stage IV cases who reported at the facility during the period of investigation. It has been argued that, for the unique case of radio-therapeutic treatment of carcinoma of the cervix, the criterion for producing an equivalent treatment should be based on the matching of early, rather than not late effects. In essence, the dose to the normal tissues at risk for late effects is usually significantly smaller than the prescribed dose. In this paper, qualitative research design was adopted. Data were collected from 24 lecturers from both public and private universities in Ghana and analysed with NVivo.&#13;
Findings&#13;
Results from the analysis indicate that public sector university lecturers are generally better motivated than their counterparts at the private sector. Workload is higher at private universities, affecting research and publications negatively. The study also revealed that there are differences in motivation in relation to the hygiene factors between the public and private university teachers.&#13;

                <text>Digital Television Transmission (terrestrial, cable and satellite) is believed to be the way forward in television transmission, a paradigm shift from analogue television transmission. This study examined the state of art technology of digital television transmission and assessed Ghana readiness for the national switchover to the Digital Terrestrial Television platform (DTT), financial and technical challenges, and the need for Ghana to transition per International Telecommunication Union (ITU)-Geneva 2006 (GE06) agreement. To achieve these, qualitative research approach was adopted using case study since there is limited knowledge on this study by sampling (purposive and snowball) respondents to obtain data on Ghana DTT infrastructure, continuous development and transmission perspectives. The results obtained revealed Ghana has delayed significantly in transitioning from analogue to digital platform which was set for 17th June, 2015 per International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Geneva 2006 (GE06) agreement, with only 2 of the 42 transmission sites up at the time of this research, due to financial constraints, DTT project infrastructural variations (transmission mast and shelters), and unavailability of electricity to power the transmission sites. This paper aims to investigate the moderated-mediation roles of perception of police response to crime and digital interclass coalition against crime between fear of terrorist attacks and psychological distress among residents of Tema Metropolis in Ghana.&#13;
Design/methodology/approach&#13;
A cluster sampling technique was used in the selection of 577 residents who answered questions on fear of terrorism, perception of police response to crime, digital interclass coalition against crime and psychological distress. The study used regression analysis to assess the hypothesized paths.&#13;
Findings&#13;
The findings show that digital interclass coalition against crime moderates the partially mediated relationship between perception of police response to crime and residents’ psychological distress.&#13;
