                <text>The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) mandated by a law in Ghana is to provide employment and employment opportunities for the youth in Ghana. The initial implementation of its activities saw a manual paper based information system, later an online Beneficiary Management System (BMIS) was introduced. This research work was conducted to evaluate the BMIS of the Youth Employment Agency of Ghana. An aspect of the research was to determine the impact of the use of the BMIS on the operations and activities of the Agency from the users and stakeholders’ perspective in comparison with previous systems. The other main area was to determine the level of understanding of the BMIS by the users and the derived benefits. The survey method of research was adopted during this research. The research showed that the successful implementation of the adopted BMIS of the Youth Employment Agency as public institution was largely dependent on the processes adopted in the usage, the level of understanding of the system, the level at which it has been implemented and the benefits realized since its implementation. Additionally, the research also showed that, for effective implementation of the BMIS of YEA, there is the need for well trained and equipped users with tools and logistics to enable them proactively perform their functions in line with the vision and mission of the Youth Employment Agency.&#13;
The population of the study is the entire 216 district officers and selected managers of the Youth Employment Agency. These people were identified as the direct users and mangers of the YEA BMIS. In collecting data, questionnaires were administered and interviews were conducted as well. Not all the expected population responded to the questionnaires.&#13;

                <text>Efficiency and productivity in audit assurance has compelled auditors to apply tools of information technology and systems to facilitate work in both private and public institutions. These computer-based platforms assist both internal and external auditors to minimize errors, fraud and omissions to ensure accountability, transparency and value for money in corporate organizations. Although several businesses and organizations incur huge cost to deploy information and communication technology infrastructure, the purpose and value for acquisition is often not realized in the presence of technological advancement due to some determinants. This study was conducted mainly to focus on ICT audit and its necessitation. It also took into consideration the experiences, advantages and disadvantages or setbacks if any and why other organizations must integrate it into their systems. The study was undertaken considering Ghanaian private sectors with the main focus being on Klynveld, Peat, Marwick and Goerdeler (KPMG) auditing company. Its significance is to enhance system security and minimize vulnerabilities on infrastructure deployments and processes and to offer a guideline that is aimed at aiding companies in terms of policy enforcement. It can also help expatiate the possibility and importance of retaining company’s internal auditors and realign their mandate since most tasks and mandate has been provisioned to be handled by all enterprise systems. The study employed the use of mixed method thus the use of both qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative part of the study employed the use of semi structured meetings, face to face interviews, telephone interviews and secondary data obtained from the literature. The quantitative methods involved mainly the use surveys in the form of questionnaires. The data was obtained from a sample size of 20 staffs which were up of two (2) Leadership and Management Personnel, three (3) Heads of Department, six (6) Technical team staffs and nine (9) junior staff on ICT audit. </text>

Electronic Document Management solutions are targeted at combating these complaints using the simple understanding that a centralized repository improves information discovery and reuse of critical assets. As organizations attempt to keep costs down, improve process efficiency and institute compliance with several government legislation and industry rules (e.g. SOX, HIPAA, PIPEDA), digitizing these documents becomes an essential initial step This project addresses the principles of today’s document management systems and the current market trends and cover ways in which business like VisionFund Money Lending Limited can actually quantify the return on investment (ROI) in implementing an electronic document management systems.&#13;
The broad objective of the present project was to design an Electronic Document Management System to be known as VisionFund Management System – VFMS. VFMS is an Electronic document management system that has the functionalities of enhancing productivity of employees by allowing them to securely share resources, help manage documents effectively, secure documents against misuse, and improve in-house collaboration. It will among other things provide storage, sharing, versioning, security, as well as searching, archiving and backup capabilities, that will help VisionFund reduce their overall document volumes while increasing the value of the knowledge assets.                 <text>Implementing blended/online learning comes with its benefits and challenges. The study looked into students’ perceptions of blended learning in a Health Training School in Ghana. Qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques were used to examine the perceptions of trainee at the Ho Nursing Training College. Two theoretical models were used in this research. These are the technology acceptance model which predicts the perceived usefulness of the system and the perceived ease of use and the Delone and McLean’s IS success model which seeks to measure dependent variables like the system quality, information quality, use, user satisfaction, individual impact and organizational impact. The findings suggest that, students’ perception of blended/ online learning is influenced by the use of the online platform for studying whiles using the traditional face-to-face learning as well. Majority of the students are of the perception that, blended/online learning is very effective and that it has helped in improving their academic performance. But then, lack of stable internet and personal computers are some of the reason why the students are unwilling to patronize online learning. It also delved into the benefits and challenges of implementing blended/online learning. Also, the factors to consider when deploying the system were looked into. The study adds to literature by contributing to knowledge on the implementation of blended/online learning. The research model offers an opportunity to examine how suitable existing conditions are for the implementation of blended/online learning.&#13;

                <text>Considering today’s unpredictable economic climate most organization are required to respond to the most summary pressing business challenges while at the same time constantly evolving their strategies to maintain cost and improve revenue. As Telecoms faces new imperative to deliver some value to every amount that is invested into telecom operations and setup, most companies are looking for Managed Service providers that can help managed technological business risk, managed any&#13;
uncertainty, enhance agility and even control cost while at the same time maintaining their core business objectives. (Hewlett-Packard Company, 2002). This study is to explore the level of influence that using Managed Services has on the operations of the Telecom Companies. The study focuses on Airtel Ghana as a case study, and uses cooperation of vendors (MSPs), their adherence to SLAs and cost savings as a means to measure the influence of managed services on the business operations of Mobile Telecommunication Companies in Ghana. Interview was used as the main tool to gather the required information from Airtel and staffs of their four Managed Services Partners (Mahindracomviva, IBM, CSG and Ericsson. The outcome of the data analysis reveal that from the perspective of Airtel respondents and their partners alike, the level of cooperation between MSPs in working together towards service delivery is generally good. However, the MSPs level of adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) is low according to Airtel respondents although the MSPs claimed their adherence to SLA was high. Lastly, according to Airtel respondent there is really no cost savings in the operations from the use of Managed Services contrary to the general assertion that Managed Services reduce cost according to (Alexander and Young, 1996; Sheehan, 1993).&#13;
The results however emphasized some benefits as sound technical support and expertise, better human resource management and opportunity to focus on core business.&#13;

Because of the change in the business environment, companies such as Ghana Airport Company Ltd have to reengineer their business processes to meet the current competition, the expansion in the business market and expectations from customers. Many institutions employ ERP software to integrate or coordinate the entire company information process such human resources, logistics, financial, manufacturing, marketing, and sales. It is deigned and deployed to manage company’s resources of the business process effectively and efficiently. Employing ERP and other information systems to facilitate communication brings about less time spent and a reduction in processes involved in facilitating a business process. The researcher employed the descriptive cross-sectional survey deign. The study population is made of all employees of Ghana Airport Company Ltd especially those directly working with data or the information. A samples of 100 made of permanent and temporary staff members of Ghana Airport Company Ltd including operational, strategic and tactical managers were engaged for this study. The research employed non-probability sampling techniques in which convenience sampling procedures were employed to arrive at the study subject.                 <text>Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are non-subsidiary, independent firms which employ fewer than a given number of employees and these numbers differs from one country to the other. Notably, Small-and Medium-sized businesses (SMEs) often lack the resources to invest significantly on technology needed to leverage big data. Therefore SMEs can take advantage of cloud computing techniques to avail the advantages of big data without significant investments in technology and manpower. Big data have been regarded as a strategic approach for organizations to enhance their effectiveness through technology adoptions and implementation. This study seeks to find out how the concept of big data can impact on the growth of the SME sector in Ghana. The researcher employed a mixed methodology approach in undertaking this study. Both simple random and purposive sampling techniques would be used to select the two SME entrepreneurs who use big data for their operations; purposive sampling was used because the respondents might offer biased responses based on their position and expertise. The study found out that that perceived advantages, ease of use and compatibility of big data technologies have wide-scale impacts on SMEs’ current adoption level and future usage plan. However, interestingly, perceived costs of implementing big data revealed a more diverse picture. It was shown that big firms would not view costs as a major adoption barrier in the future, while most small businesses are still currently concerned about the implementation and maintenance costs. The study recommended that in the future this research should be examined in a few chosen or specific industries to test for generalisability, particularly among those with different business models</text>

                <text>The use of computer technology has become very useful in our educational institutions as compared to the traditional learning. Today university’s nowadays use e-learning modules to support their education systems. Yet still most researches do not consider multiple stakeholder perspective when dealing with topics on e-learning. Some studies only focus on a single stakeholder among the main categories of stakeholders thus learners, lecturers, administrators. In addition, some literatures also miss the multi factor of the adoption of e-learning which is the technological organisational and environmental. This study therefore discusses the antecedent and the consequences of the e-learning and uses the TOE framework to explore the approach from the multiple stakeholder perspective on the adoption.&#13;
The study used quantitative approach for the survey which focused on two universities in the developing countries which have adopted e-learning with a total number 350 stakeholders&#13;
(students, lecturers and administrators). Means and standard deviation, multiple regression and correlation were all used for the analysis of data. The study originality is the multi-stakeholder perspective with a multi-dimensional framework (Technology, Organisation, Environment and Nature of Course) approaches to the study of elearning adoption in a developing country. The research recommends that, the use of relatively user-friendly applications should be employed and there should also be the E-learning architecture to integrate the structures which would ensure limit in anxiety on the part of patrons.</text>

                <text>The study was conducted to investigate information privacy in healthcare systems with a focus on Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra. Notably, the study sought to establish the existing policies and practices regarding information privacy, identify the threats to information privacy and find out the adequacy of information privacy systems in the Hospital. The study adopted a descriptive research design; sampling 150 staff and 70 patients using stratified random sampling method. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analysed using frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviation. The study found that the Hospital has policies and systems for regulating the collection and access to medical records of patients to ensure privacy of such information. The major threats to information privacy were unintentional actions or negligence by staff and accidental access upon a patient’s records out of curiosity or for their own purpose. Finally, the existing information privacy systems within the Hospital was moderately adequate. The most adequate of the existing principles were data control, security, transparency, and anonymity and pseudonymity. The study concludes that in spite of the adequacy of information privacy measures, the privacy of medical records is seriously threatened if adequate security measures are not established to address the security lapses. It is recommended that the Hospital put in place adequate security measures to deal with accidental exposure of medical records of patients to outsiders. Also, continuous training on information security and privacy for all staff of the Hospital is strongly recommended.&#13;
